Josh Brown Giving Project

Josh Brown serves as President of The Josh Brown Giving Project. The project’s mission is to improve the quality of life for our youth, increase physical activity and to assure the development for the means to find a cure and control cystic fibrosis.

Josh has teamed up with HOPSports - Partners in Education to bring 21st century technology to Washington’s schools and youth community sites. Partnering with HOPSports means Josh can now reach thousands of kids delivering his message through the HOPSports Training System along with other famous athletes and celebrities. Josh says…"I am thrilled to be a part-ner with HOPSports, they are reaching kids all across the nation, speaking - their language while getting them moving for a lifetime of healthy habits."

In 2007, Josh Brown is making his mark, selected as a Seattle Seahawk’s team captain for special teams with Niko Koutouvides, along with Matt Hasselbeck and Mack Strong from offense, Deon Grant and Lofa Tatupu on defense. Credited with getting his team to the playoffs, Josh also won the prestigious 2006 Golden Toe Award.

Last season he led the Seahawks four times, including converting a field goal in the final moments of regulation to win a game, tying the NFL record set by Ryan Longwell in 2004. Brown was 25 of 31 on his field goal attempts in 2006, and showed good range - an automatic 10 of 10 from 29 yards or less and 7 of 9 on kicks from 40-49 yards. Two of his game-winners - 54 yards at St. Louis on Oct. 15 and 50 yards at Denver on Dec. 3 - were from 50 yards or longer.

Since being drafted out of Nebraska in the seventh round in 2003, Brown has recorded a team-record four consecutive 100-point seasons, and his 10 career field goals from 50 yards or longer tie him with Norm Johnson for the franchise record. He has made six career game-winning kicks.

Mission: Our mission is the help improve the quality of life for our youth, increase physical activity and to assure the development for the means to find a cure and control cystic fibrosis.
